Tonight I once again begged my kids to go bike riding with me. They wanted to go constantly in MN but they haven't wanted to go here since there dad built them this awesome playhouse while we were gone. BJ rode the trail a bike and Brookie was in the cart, and Bradie rode her own bike. I was thinking we would just go around the block but Bradie saw cemetary hill and was determined to ride up it. Its probably almost a mile away and the hill is very steep. I am so proud of her, she made it half the way up!!! I only made it half way up to. She did so awesome! She also made it all the way home which is a gradual uphill the whole way home. Than the kids wanted to go for a walk. We only went 3 blocks but BJ ran the whole time. I was laughing so hard at his antics that Bradie got into it also. BJ will probably be a runner if he keeps this up. It was a fun night. Next time I will put my running shoes on instead of flip flops and get my bum outrun by a 3 and 6 yr old.

Back from MN

We got home Saturday afternoon. I was glad to be home but we had fun while we were away. I still can't believe how good the kiddos traveled. They did Awesome.

We did a lot of things while we were there. We went bike riding quite a bit, played at the lake, watched some loons swim and call. We were going to go to the zoo but it was raining so we went to the Mall of America instead. We saw 3 stories of lego designs, Way cool. We went to Underwater World and ate at the Rainforest cafe. I tried to video the gorillas dancing but it was to dark. We drove to Wisconsin to see family and visited with a lot of family.
Here's a few pictures from our trip.

June 8

Nana, the kids and I started a trip to visit my sister in MN last Friday afternoon. The drive was rainy and grey but the kids did really well. I was a little worried. They already miss dad.

Today we have just been hanging around the house. This morning I actually got my duff and started wk 2 of the coach potato to 5 k. Today it was run 8 min walk 2 x 2. I have to admit I couldn't run the whole 8 min and I had to stop and walk a couple times for about 30 sec but I was out there doing it That was what matters to me. Than I kept on going around my sister's block. I walked and jogged as much as I could for a total of 3 1/2 miles.

Its cloudy and rainy here in MN but suppose to clear up pretty soon. Hope everyone has a great day.

Flower Child

Two days ago we decided it was time to plant the planters. Here are some cute pictures of the kiddos. The faces B.J. makes always cracks me up. Bradie was such a good little planter. She really enjoyed planting the flowers. Brooke, now she was another story. BJ was busy trying to keep the flowers out of her mouth!

Hello. I am finally jumping on the blog bandwagon. This will be a combination of family life and my scrappin stuff.

I wish I would have taken pictures last night. It has been a rainy week so the kids and I decided they were going to go camping in our living room and watch movies. We went and rented a few and than sent up a tent of chairs and sheets. Bradie and BJ were so excited they had to call Nana and Papa to share there news. The kids will probably put it back up tonight and than I will definately get some pics.

FROM COACH POTATOE TO 5K
Ok, my friends started on Monday doing this running program so they can run the 5k. I decided I better get my bum up and get going on it. Of course my dear sweat little Brookie wakes me up at 5 am every morning to eat. So I lay in bed from 5:30-6 am thinking, hmm 15 min of excercise or sleep, hmm..... not really tempting to get up but I finally dragged myself out of bed and tiptoed around the tent for my running shoes and walked to the meeting spot.

The first week they are running 4 minutes walking 1 x 3 times. Okay first 4 min I was thinking yeah doing good I can do this. Mentally patting myself on the back. (we were running around a new subdivision) beginning of 2nd lap thought I was going to DIE, all the sudden I felt like my lungs shrunk, No air, okay going to hyperventilate, okay Not going to make it. Not feeling so smug anymore. THan my friend yells 2 more minutes, yeah right I stopped and walked meanwhile watch the other 4 little tushes keep on running in front of me. Than decided to cut them off at the next street and meet up again. I took the short cut and met up with them and yes, I did make it the next lap with them after walking for an extra 2 min longer than the other girls. Meanwhile I am thinking in my mind I NEED TO QUIT THE DR. PEPPER!!! GRRR. My legs were fine it was the wheezing that was killing me. I am so going to do this and I will quit the Dr. Pepper. (of course I need to finish off the 12 pack first) :) Well I will meet the girls bright and early on Friday and hope I live through another 15 minutes. Oh and BTW my legs already are sore.
